    The design of your new pieces reminds me more and more of it... It's as if with digital means you are approaching (unintentionally?) that nineteenth-century fine-line engraving style.

  2. I was not aware of the work you mentioned. I think I know what you mean alot of my work ends up being reminiscent of the kinds of designs one might find in a giant circular cathedral window, and are also similar to some islamic art. I don't know if this is coincidence or if I might use similar mathematical principles in my work.

  5. extra simple animation: you could use QuickTime Pro ( I think it comes free with the latest OS, otherwise it's - I forget - 30 dollars) and create an image sequence, set the timing etc -- there's also 'photo to movie' which is cheap but not free, yet easy to use. there are probably others I don't know about.... it could be fascinating to see these relentlessly intense disks actually evolve from static grids.
